On August 7, the Mae Sot Police announced that ten Myanmar nationals were arrested in connection with the shipment of 19 StarLink Internet devices from the Thai-Myanmar border town of Mae Sot to Myanmar.
After ten StarLinks were seized in a parcel to be sent to Myanmar, the two young men were again found with nine StarLinks in the subsequent investigation. When the StarLink devices were sent from Bangkok to Mae Sot by a private shipping company, they were arrested by the Mae Sot police.
Those who were arrested are 27-year-old Ko Hein Chet Aung and Ko Boon Myint Kyaw. In connection with that case, when they searched another place again, they found and arrested eight more Myanmar nationals who were working illegally, according to a statement from the Mae Sot Police.
